(Emmanuel Biblical Church)

Emmanuel church began in 1987 with a congregation of 70 people who were searching for God with all their hearts. These people invited Pastor Humberto Lay who was a leader of a mega church in those days. Pastor Lay accepted God's will over his life and committed himself to this work. He has been the Pastor ever since.

Now, Emmanuel has a membership of three thousand people and an attendance of forty-five hundred people. Emmanuel is very mission minded and not only evangelizes in plazas, parks and cities, but also plants new churches, creates cell groups, assists poverty-stricken areas and also teaches pastors and leaders from other churches throughout Peru.

Emmanuel's vision consists of three points: (1) Relationship with God, (2) Being a blessing for the Christian people in Peru, teaching a healthy doctrine. (3) Evangelize Peru. Its text says: To be a blessing to the Body of Christ and the world, while extending His Kingdom.

In Peru, the government considers Emmanuel church to be an institution of social influence. Our pastor, because of his testimony, was asked to be a part of the Anticorruption Group and the Truth and National Reconciliation Commission.

Emmanuel has birthed twelve churches with approximately three hundred people, and 9 missions that will eventually grow into full-fledged churches.

Emmanuel is a church that follows God's will to be an impact to Peru. You can be involved in this exciting work and take part in Emmanuel's outreach programs, evangelizing, sharing and teaching the lost about God's love through Jesus Christ.
